Kids and grownups join the dance craze with Pinkfong and Baby Shark in Manila


Pinkfong and Baby Shark arrived in Manila to entertain, dance and sing along with their fans at the East Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza Mall on Tuesday evening.

Hundreds of kids and grownups gathered at the event to join the "Baby Shark" craze and chance upon the adorable Pinkfong and Baby Shark mascots.

 

 

 

 

Aside from dancing to its original beat, the kids were also asked to groove their moves two times faster.

 

 

 

 

Pinkfong and Baby Shark also introduced the Christmas version of the popular nursery rhyme.

 

 

According to Save Sharks Network Philippines, "Baby Shark" has been of help with raising awareness to conserve Philippine sharks.

Save Sharks Network Philippines awarded comedian and YouTuber Mikey Bustos and Treasure Hunter with the "Migo sa Iho" award for helping save sharks with his educational version of "Baby Shark."

 

 

 

 

The organization also bestowed the same award to Pinkfong.

 

 

In case you missed it, "Baby Shark" is the hit nursery rhyme that's gone massively viral this year with netizens and celebrities alike recording and uploading their own covers of the song. On YouTube, the "Baby Shark" music video has garnered over 600 million views and more than 1 million likes, as of this writing.

"Baby Shark" is part of the Pinkfong education brand created by South Korean media startup SmartStudy that presents educational content to help children explore the world with songs, animation stories, toys and books.

All of their other songs for kids feature their character Pinkfong, who is  "an adorable prince from planet Staria," its website said. — LA, GMA News
