Frenchie Dy shares improvement as she undergoes therapy following Bell's palsy attack

Singer-actress Frenchie Dy shared that there is an improvement in her condition as she undergoes therapy after suffering her third Bell's palsy attack.

Frenchie posted a video via Facebook Monday, which showed scenes from her recent therapy session with her physical therapists and medical doctor.

"I'm so happy, may improvement na! Getting there, getting there!!!! Salamat prayer warriors!!!!" she wrote in the caption.

According to PinoyMD, Bell's palsy is a condition that causes partial paralysis or weakness of the facial muscle on one side of the face. It happens suddenly and swiftly, and may last from three weeks to five months, sometimes even longer. Its symptoms include drooping of the face, one-sided or lopsided smiles, eye twitching, and more.

In the video, Frenchie said that she is now able to move the left side of her face. She can now also fully close her left eye.

"Tapos na ang therapy session and napakaganda ng improvement kasi naaangat, nagagalaw ko na 'yung kabilang side," she said as she moved her left nostril and left cheek.

"So happy ako. Sabi rin ni doc, may improvement na tsaka isang maganda na nangyari na improvement is naisasara ko na 'yung mata ko nang no effort na pagsasara, as in nakasara na siya nang sarang-sara. Nung nakaraan kasi, half nakabukas, ngayon sarado na."

She then thanked her supporters and offered encouragement to those who also have Bell's palsy.

"Thank you Lord, thank you sa mga prayers niyo, guys. Kaya natin 'to. Sa lahat ng mga kasabay ko diyan na may Bell's palsy, laban lang, kaya natin 'to," she said.

Recently, Frenchie shared about her third Bell's palsy attack in a Facebook video, saying that she had a change in taste while having lunch with her husband. Then, while drinking water, she felt the liquid dripping down her face, which made her realize that she was having another attack.

She immediately went to the hospital where it was confirmed that she was indeed experiencing another Bell's palsy attack.
