Former comedian Mura undergoes medical check-up, receives aid through GMA Kapuso Foundation

Former comedian Allan "Mura" Padua and his father underwent a medical check-up and received aid through GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to "24 Oras" on Friday, the foundation visited Mura during its relief operations in the Bicol Region.

Mura's career thrived in the early 2000s, but he disappeared from showbiz after he broke his hip due to an accident in 2010. Although his injury has healed, he still experiences difficulty in walking.

Minsan nadadapa na lang ako," he said.

In April 2024, Mura also lost his home in Ligao City, Albay, to a fire. Fortunately, he was able to slowly get back on his feet, thanks to the people who offered help and gave him hope.

Ang hirap pag wala ka talagang sariling bahay," he said.

GMA Kapuso Foundation and Ligao City Health Officer Dr. Marissa Dela Cerna visited Mura and father so they can be examined.

Mura and his father receive medicines and vitamins from the Ligao City Health Office every month, per the report.

GMA Kapuso Foundation also gave groceries and hygiene kits to the father and son.

Mura, for his part, hoped to have more strength so he can continue fulfilling his duties to his family.

Kung sakali, baka pwede pa maging artista ulit," he said.

For those who wish to support GMA Kapuso Foundation's projects, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee. Visit GMA Kapuso Foundation's website for more information.
