Local tourist in Iligan faints while riding carnival ride

A visitor of Iligan City in Lanao Del Norte suddenly passed out while riding a fiesta carnival ride called Top Spin, which spins its passengers in the air.

According to Kuya Kim's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, the visitor is named Leo Rachman.

"Nasusuka na ko. Patay sindi na rin kasi mata ko nun," he said about his experience.

Kuya said it is common for those trying out rides to get motion sickness, or the feeling of dizziness and nausea.

This is caused by the fast movement of the rides, which causes a sensory mismatch in our eyes, in the balance organs of our ears, and in our brain.

Dr. Gerald Belandres, a doctor of general medicine, said that in times like these, we must learn how to control our bodies.

If a companion has vomited due to motion sickness, it's necessary to replace the lost electrolytes in their body.
