Jessa Zaragoza undergoes procedure to treat vocal polyps
Jessa Zaragoza has undergone a scheduled procedure to treat her throat after noticing hoarseness from her voice.
On Instagram, the singer gave an update on her health, posting photos and a video of her at the hospital.
According to Jessa, she was diagnosed with vocal polyps and esophageal varices or enlarged veins from her vocal folds.
"This is the second time I've dealt with something to this extent, so it definitely alarmed me that I had to go through this again," she said.
"The procedure was to remove said findings, and thankfully, it went smoothly. The recovery process began and I had to go on complete vocal rest for over a week. No talking whatsoever," she added.
Jessa said she caught an illness while recuperating from the procedure, adding that stress took a toll on her health.
"Napakanta na talaga ako ng kanta ko, 'Parang di ko yata kaya!'" she quipped.
The singer said she is still not 100% recovered, but she is healing and feeling better every day.
"I can't wait to prepare and get back to work as soon as possible to prepare for our major tour happening in September," she said.
Jessa and her husband, Dingdong Avanzado, will hold the "Sa Aking Puso" concert tour in North America with their daughter Jayda as their special guest.
