Danica Sotto undergoes gallbladder operation due to ‘chronic pain, gallstones’

Danica Sotto posted a health update on social media after undergoing surgery for her gallbladder.

On Instagram, she shared snaps from her “life lately,” including a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed.

“Feeling much better a week after cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal surgery). They had to remove my gb due to chronic pain and gallstones. If you have experienced gallbladder pain you know what I’m talking about. Sakit talaga siya diba?!” she said.

Gallstones are solidified liquids released by the gallbladder. There are multiple factors and reasons why some people get them, including old age and genetics.

Danica also expressed gratitude to her family and friends for their prayers, as well as to their “angels” at home.

“Extra effort sila since I cannot carry our baby Luc yet,” she said. “We also made it to Mic’s game last Sat. Super happy we made it kahit medyo sore pa.”

She ended her post on a positive note, writing, “Life is full of surprises but we can choose to be joyful in the midst of life’s challenges.”

Danica is married to Marc Pingris.

They have three children: Jean Michael, Anielle Micaela, and Jean-Luc.

Marc was recently involved in cheating allegations, which linked him to actress Kim Rodriguez, following viral and similar photos of them with staff at a fries stand and at the Sydney Opera House.

Both Marc and Kim denied the allegations.

Danica said that she was not affected by the issue because she had already grown used to rumors, having grown up in the showbiz industry.
