GMA Kapuso Foundation collects over 300 blood bags to build stocks ahead of Holy Week

The GMA Kapuso Foundation has collected over 300 blood bags ahead of the expected “lean” period in blood donation due to the upcoming Holy Week.

According to a “24 Oras” report on Monday, the foundation conducted a donation drive at the offices of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and Training and Doctrine Command.

The collected bags will help build the stocks of the Philippine Red Cross, a partner organization of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

“Marami nag-e-exodus from Metro Manila [during Holy Week],” said GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Rikki Escudero-Catibog. “Minsan ‘di maiiwasan ang aksidente sa roads and talagang kailangan ng blood transfusion.”
