How to style your hair like Jisoo of Blackpink, according to a celebrity stylist

Notice how Blackpink's Jisoo styles her hair? It's disheveled where it should, with the correct amount of hair strands falling into place, and boasts of curls and volume when it should.
Celebrity hair stylist Paul Nebres gave a demo on how to achieve Jisoo-inspired hairstyles last Tuesday at the launch of the “Flower” hitmaker’s ambassadorship with Dyson.
He began with the basics: Hair should be 80% dry before styling it, Nebres said, adding you must pay attention to your blower's temperature to avoid damage.
“Kapag mainit ‘yung blower, mas madali, but it breaks the hair follicles. Doon nagkakaroon ng split ends,” the stylist said.

He expertly added to use your blower's cold temperature when styling with wet hair.
Then he started his demo.
1. Big, loose curls, aka beach waves
Dyson hair dryers are known and loved for its easy curling capability. The hair effortlessly clings to the bullet for curling — no need for twisting and turning, compared to usual curling irons.
To set the curls, Nebres advised lowering the Airwrap temperature and keeping the device in the hair for five to 10 seconds.
2. Volumized blowout
Don't want to curl your hair for the day? The volumized blowout is the hairstyle for you.
Nebres said the best way to blowdry the hair is to do it in an inward motion towards the face to achieve salon-like locks.
For those with naturally flat hair, the stylist advised to do an extra blowout to the crown part of the head for extra volume.
“The crown part of the head, this is usually the flat part of your hair so that’s where you need to put more volume on,” he said.
“You can’t put volume on the back of your head kasi matatakpan din siya ng upper part ng hair,” he added.
3. Flipped out short bob
Not really Jisoo-inspired but Nebres considered those with short hair.
According to the hair stylist, you can flip the bottom part of your hair outward to add volume and for a unique look.
If you’ve been meaning to be experimental with hairstyles, 2024 is the year to do so.
Last month, celebrity stylist Lourd Ramos said the hair color trend of the year is Bronde, a combination of brown, bronze, and blonde.
That said, another celebrity stylist, Mark Anthony Rosales, said 2024 is going to be the year of healthy hair.
