Annabelle Rama to daughter-in-law Alexa who has leukemia: 'Ikaw ang pinaka magandang kalbo'
Annabelle Rama was overcome with emotion after learning her daughter-in-law, Alexa, had leukemia.
Apologizing for only being able to comment about Alexa's health now, the showbiz personality said she was super affected by the news.
"Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala (I still can't believe it)," Annabelle said.
"Alam kong gagaling ka (I know you will get well)," she continued, adding she couldn't help but cry upon learning the news.
"I love you Alexa! Don't worry nakalbo ka. Para sa akin, ikaw ang pinakamagandang kalbo! (Don't worry about being bald. For me, you are the most beautiful bald person ever)" Annabelle said.
Alexa is the wife of Annabelle and Eddie Gutierrez's son Elvis. They have two daughters together.
On Instagram Wednesday, she posted the same photo as her mother-in-law and admitted she was "getting emotional seeing all my hair fall in chunks."
"I was getting mad and wanted to change my emotions quickly. We went for it and decided time for the new look. I feel much happier that we did it. Still a bit messy on top since it was spur of the moment thing," she said.
"Always wanted to try this hairstyle but never had the guts. Now I’m liberated," Alexa added.
She revealed she had leukemia on social media earlier in January and has since been posting about her hospital visits, treatments, as well as prayers and motivational quotes.
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez earlier posted about Alexa's condition and asked her followers to "storm the heavens and pray for Alexa's complete healing."
"Lex, you are such a positive, courageous, beautiful and strong human being! I know you can beat this. God has a great plan for you. We love you and will walk with you through every step of this journey. Continue to be in high spirits. You’re not alone," Ruffa said.
According to the Mayo Clinic, "Leukemia is cancer of the body's blood-forming tissues, including the bone marrow and the lymphatic system."
It mostly involves the white blood cells, with people with leukemia producing an excessive amounts of it.
Here's praying with and for you Alexa!
