Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado and family test positive for COVID-19

Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, and family have tested positive for COVID-19. 

On Instagram, the Kapuso Drama King shared a clip of him playing the guitar while describing his family’s situation through a song titled, “Gamutin na natin to.” 

“Oh ito na nga, tinamaan din ako,” Dennis began in the lyrics. 

“Akala ko’y hindi na tatablan nito. Ba’t nag-positive ako? Gamutin na natin ito,” he continued singing, informing his fans that he tested positive for COVID-19. 

He ended the song by saying that his wife Jennylyn Mercado and daughter Dylan also tested positive for COVID-19. 

“May bago na ngang uso. Pati na ang misis ko. May COVID, kaming tatlo,” Dennis sang. 

Jennylyn and Dennis tied the knot in 2021, shortly after announcing they were engaged and expecting their first child together.

They welcomed Dylan in May 2022.

In October, Dennis renewed his contract with GMA Network marking his 20th year anniversary as a Kapuso!

Dennis currently stars in "Love Before Sunrise" with Bea Alonzo.

The series follows the story of soulmates whose right love happens at the wrong time. It's a collaboration project between GMA Network and Viu Philippines.

Meanwhile, Jennylyn Mercado will star in an upcoming series, "Love. Die. Repeat," with Xian Lim.
