19-year-old gets surgery for lump on her neck thanks to GMA Kapuso Foundation
A 19-year-old woman from Ballesteros, Cagayan finally got surgery for a lump on her neck thanks to the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
As seen in Marisol Abdurahman's report on "24 Oras," Monday, Clarissa "Kleng" Ceria is now doing well three months after the operation to remove the hemangioma located on her nape.
Kleng used to suffer from dizzy spells and weakness due to the lump, which she thought was a mole at first.
"Mararamdaman ko pong kumikirot. Sinasabi ko po kay mama na, 'Ma, masakit na naman po 'yung bukol ko,' tapos kinabukasan po puputok na po," she said.
The lump would then start bleeding.
"Hinihimatay po at kapag sumumpong po 'yung ganon niya, dinadala po namin agad sa hospital," said Kleng's mom Jodelyn.
According to Dr. Hector Santos, Kleng needed surgical treatment for the lump.
"It's probably the weakness ng mga vessels, detachment, nagkadikit dikit, nagkaroon ng communication within vessels that feeds it so lalong lumalaki," he said.
Kleng had the surgery in May she has now fully recovered.
"Gumaan na po 'yung pakiramdam ko at wala na pong sagabal sa mga gusto kong gawin," she said, thanking Dr. Santos and the Kapuso Foundation.
