Gardo Versoza's 2nd angioplasty procedure put on hold following complications
Gardo Versoza was supposed to undergo his second angioplasty last Friday, but the procedure was postponed due to some complications.
On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Thursday, the King of Talk said that on the dawn of the procedure's schedule, Gardo's back hurt and he had difficulty breathing.
His wife immediately brought him to the hospital, and the findings showed that Gardo's hemoglobin levels dropped, requiring him to receive a blood transfusion.
"Hindi natuloy ang kanyang operasyon at sa kasalukuyan, siya'y nagpapahinga, he needs to rest," Tito oy said.
He then assured, "But he's okay. Gardo's safe."
After two weeks, Gardo will undergo tests to see if he is fit and ready for his supposed second angioplasty procedure.
Gardo suffered from a heart attack in March.
He said in an episode of "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" in May that it started with sudden back pains after he embarked on long bike rides.
