Carla Abellana says that she is in a better place now
Carla Abellana has always been beautiful, but this time, she’s got a different kind of glow.
When she sat for a virtual press conference for “Voltes V: Legacy,” the Kapuso star was visibly blooming and was smiling all throughout. So it's no surprise that she was asked by a member of the press whether she is happier now.
“Di ko po masabi kung mas happy, parang hindi naman po eh,” she answered. “Pero definitely, I guess kung sasabihin ko lang — kumbaga kung ikukumpara po from a year ago, ibang iba po. Kita naman po 'yan. Eh kahit ako naman po, nararamdaman ko naman po 'yun.”
Carla added, “Mas happy? Hindi ko po sure. Pero definitely better, parang ganun po. Much better kumpara sa nakaraang taon or months ago.”
The actress said that she is taking care of herself even more now, is a lot more grateful for her daily blessings, and is letting go of “anything toxic or bad or negative.”
“Mas nagbabawas ng mga things I cannot control, 'yun bang let go of what you cannot control. Syempre maraming pagtatanggap about myself," she said.
“Kung ano 'yung makakatulong po sa akin, 'yun naman po 'yung aking ginagawa. So I guess effective naman po, nakakatulong naman,” she added.
In "Voltes V: Legacy," the actress plays Mary Ann Armstrong, a scientist and the mother of the Voltes Team’s Steve, Big Bert, and Little Jon. Carla said it best when she described her character as “napaka serious, strict, intellectual,” but a loving mother of three boys.
Before its premiere on GMA Network, “Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience” will exclusively be shown in SM Cinemas from April 19 to 25. This film will include material from the first three weeks of the series. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
