Anne Curtis is officially a Tokyo Marathon finisher!
Anne Curtis successfully crossed the finish line of the Tokyo Marathon!
On Instagram Sunday, the actress showed off her medal along with a lengthy caption of thanks.
“Being a mother now as well, I couldn’t help but get emotional when I crossed that finish line. It just hit a little differently this time around,” the 38-year-old wrote.
“Running with a purpose bigger than just receiving a medal kept me fueled,” she added.
According to Anne, her journey toward the Tokyo Marathon was dedicated to a fundraiser she organized for Filipino youth with the help of UNICEF Philippines.
As of writing, it is already at P624,138, going beyond their P500,000-target.
“As long as you keep donating for the next 30 days, I will match whatever the final amount ends up being. So we can help more children receive the services they need,” she said.
In the latter part of her post, the mother of one thanked her coach and all the people who helped her prepare before and during the marathon.
“Maraming Salamat to all the kababayans who would cheer when I would pass them! As in sobrang laking tulong when it would get tough,” she wrote.
“And, of course, my love and light [Erwan] and Dahlia Amélie. Your hugs and kisses last night before sleeping were everything to me and helped start this whole day full of love,” she ended.
Anne tied the knot with Erwan in 2017. They welcomed Dahlia into their family three years later, who recently celebrated her third birthday in Tokyo Disneyland.
Congratulations, Anne!
