Parokya Ni Edgar guitarist Gab Chee Kee has been transferred to a regular hospital room after spending weeks in intensive care and progressive care.

In an update on the band's Instagram account, the band shared a photo of Gab smiling with a shaved head.

They also shared videos of Gab playing guitar in the elevator and hospital hallways on the way to his regular room.

"Dahil sa tulong, dasal, at good vibes niyo, eto si Gab ngayon!" Parokya said. "Happy siya dahil nakalipat na siya sa regular room! Isa-isa na tinatanggal 'yung mga tubes na nakakabit sa katawan niya."

"Excited parang bata, nag-gigitara habang papunta sa regular room! Konti na lang at makakalabas na rin siya ng hospital!" the band added.

The band said that Gab still has cancer, but they are looking forward to performing with him again when he recovers.

"May cancer pa rin siya, so tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang laban para makasama na namin siya on the stage soon! Laban pa Gab! Kayang-kaya 'yan!" Parokya said.

Last month, Parokya Ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda revealed that Gab was hospitalized due to pneumonia, a complication brought on by his lymphoma.

Their friends in the industry have helped raise funds for his medical bills. An Eraserheads-signed guitar that sold for P1.3 million and Parokya also auctioned several memorabilia.

A fundraising gig titled Resbak Para Kay Gab, featuring top OPM artists, is also set for March 4.
