This baby from Pampanga shocks mom with size when she was born

A baby in Pampanga shocked her mom with her size when she was born.

As seen on Kuya Kim's "24 Oras" report, Thursday, Queen Hera looked like she was already a month or two at birth.

"Nakakangalay po. Mga isang oras ko siya hawak, ang sakit na po ng likod ko. Tinitiis ko lang po para maka-dede siya," her mom Tenderly Gatchalian said.

According to Kuya Kim, an average newborn weighs only between five to eight pounds. Queen Hera is 11 pounds, which equates to babies with Fetal Macrosomia. They weigh eight to 13 pounds.

Almost 9% of babies in the whole world have this condition. Obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Desiree Torre-Pat said that this may be caused by various reasons.

"Macrosomia in pregnancy is caused by three most common reasons: genetics, gestational diabetes or diabetes in pregnancy, and excessive weight gain during pregnancy," she said.
