Parokya ni Edgar’s Gab Chee Kee still in ICU, but ‘steadily improving’

Parokya ni Edgar’s Gab Chee Kee is on his road to recovery but is still in need of help, said the band.

On Tuesday, Valentine’s Day, Gab’s bandmates shared a photo of his hand making an “ok” sign while laying on the hospital bed.

“He’s still at the ICU but steadily improving. Please keep sending positive vibes to him and praying for his full recovery,” the caption read.

“He says thank you to all of you - friends, family, fans, and even strangers who have extended help in whatever way or form,” it added.

In January, Parokya ni Edgar started raising funds for Gab who was hospitalized due to pneumonia, a complication brought on by his lymphoma.

There will be three gigs happening on February 25 to help Gab: RakEnRol4Gab at 70’s Bistro, Razorback x P.O.T at Estancia Mall, and Bike & Beach 2023 beginning in Alpas, La Union.

They also recently put the Eraserheads’ signed D&D Gab CheeKee Signature Guitar for bidding, which earned P1.3 million.
