Tuesday Vargas's partner Joseph Puducay opens up about rare disease: 'I'm in pain 24/7'

Tuesday Vargas's partner Joseph Puducay took to social media to open up about his rare disease.

According to Joseph, he has several syndromes, namely NCS, MALS, SMATS, and MTS, which have caused his entire body to weaken.

"The past months[,] I know my health is deteriorating because of these syndromes," he wrote on Facebook.

"My immune system is weakening, I developed autoimmune disorders, my digestive system is failing, fatigue is becoming more and more prominent[,] and my nutrient absorption is compromised," he added.

Joseph went on to share that he has gone to every imaginable hospital and has met with several medical experts to guide him through his condition. Still, there hasn't been a "definitive treatment" plan yet available for him.

"I am in pain 24/7," he said. "I can only tolerate a few sips of water[.] It hurts to breathe, move, [and] talk, and the liquid diet makes me miss out on some of my favorite foods I [enjoyed] when I was not experiencing all these."

Just as he was about to give up, Joseph received a miracle call from a surgeon specializing in cases like his.

"He wants to guide me with my situation when he [returns] to the Philippines next year [since] he is still in the US," he said.

Aside from the said surgeon, Joseph also received a message from someone he ordered his meals from, and, it turns out, that person is also a doctor who introduced him to a new team of experts willing to give him a "fighting chance in life."

"They didn't promise a cure, but they said they will do everything to help me manage my condition and have a better quality of life," he added.

He then thanked the Lord for gifting him these professionals who could help him overcome his life's biggest health challenge.

"Everything hurts right now, Lord[,] but I know you gave me this time to develop a deeper relationship with you, to talk, pray, reflect, confess and appreciate the journey," Joseph said.

On Instagram, Tuesday wrote Joseph an uplifting message of reassurance that they would fight his battles together no matter what happens.

“Gaano man ka kumplikado ang sitwasyon ay inilaan talaga ng Dyos na maging bahagi tayo ng buhay ng isa’t isa,” Tuesday said.

“Mahirap man ang pinag dadaanan natin sa ngayon ay lalampasan natin ito nang mag kasama. Hinding hindi ako susuko gumaling ka lang,” the comedienne added.

[No matter how complicated th situation, God intended for us to be part of each other's lives.

Even though what we are going through right now is rather difficult, we will overcome it together. I will never give up until you get better.]

Tuesday ended her post by expressing her love for her partner until the very end.

“Kapit mahal, may pag asa at may sagot. Nandito ako at hinding hindi kita iiwan,” she said.

[Hold on tight, my love. There is hope and an answer to all of these. I am here, and I will never leave your side.]
