Pia Wurtzbach arrives in New York for marathon
Pia Wurtzbach is in New York to work towards another big title: marathoner!
“Taking it easy this week in preparation for the marathon this coming Sunday,” Pia said in her latest Instagram update.
She added, “So much feels being back in the city, a place I once called home.”
Queen P has been training since late February to take part in her first race ever, the New York City Marathon.
In a post last October, Pia shared she was already able to run 32km.
Despite some setbacks—such as getting sick and losing confidence—throughout her training, Pia’s coach is sure that she can complete the 42 km marathon.
“So now the goal is to just finish the marathon. No matter how slow or fast it’ll take me. I realized that this isn’t a pageant. I’m not competing against anyone but myself,” she said.
