This rope exercise lets you go with the flow as you keep trim

Looking for a fun exercise that is far from the usual? Try rope flow!

As seen on Katrina Son’s “24 Oras” report Wednesday, the exercise just needs a rope that you maneuver around your body.

The rope it uses is heavier than the one usually used in jump rope. You also don't need to jump— all you need is space to move and dance around.

Instructor Gisselle Lim said rope flow will not just help you lose weight, but could help your mental health as well.

“It’s a whole-body mobility, so na-e-exercise yung left and right side ng body niyo pati left and right side of the brain kasi mapapaisip kayo kung anong pattern yung gagawin niyo,” she said.

Lim added that presence of mind is also essential to ensure that the rope does not get tangled as you move.

Among those who have grown to love rope flow is Dr. Camille Jabuena, who found it amid the pandemic.

“It was really something that helped me mentally and focused. It was something I needed during that time. It was a way to express myself and something different,” she said. — Franchesca Viernes/BM, GMA News
