Bianca King and her husband were already considering IVF before she got pregnant
A little more than a year after getting married, Bianca King and her husband Ralph Wintle are excited about welcoming their first child.
But in an interview on the “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast, the actress revealed getting pregnant wasn’t as easy as it seemed.
Bianca opened up about how they even considered in-vitro fertilization fertilization (IVF) before they naturally got pregnant.
“Well, meron talagang problema," Bianca admitted. "Kung ano man yon—I think the part that I'll leave out of the public. But also the frustration is real.”
“Pagod is real because when you want something so much, and you're working so hard to get it and you're not getting it, nakakapagod din siya," she continued.
They already started consulting with a doctor to see where they stand. "I was like, the option is there, why don't we just take it?” she said.
“Iba kasi 'yong pinagdadaanan ko [from] my husband. I'm the one who does the testing, I'm the one who's experiencing the sadness and the hormones and everything and I couldn't deal with it anymore.”
Besides, Bianca didn't want to waste any more time. "If we try parang how much longer pa? One more year? I'll be turning 38 na, so 'yon, pressure.”
They were already decided about doing IVF so when she missed her period and her pregnancy tests kept coming back positive, "ako parang, ‘ha? How is this happening?’ So [I] was in total shock talaga.”
She emphasized getting pregnant came like God’s gift at the right time.
“It was an amazing surprise, I couldn't believe it. We were in shock for weeks,” Bianca added.
“It took a while to sink in. Siguro no'ng nakita na namin 'yong heartbeat sa ultrasound, yon na yong [moment na] parang there's really something living inside me. There's a human being growing.”
Asked how the couple took the news of Bianca’s natural pregnancy, she said, “Ako, I was giggling because I've never experienced that before. But Ralph started shedding tears.”
“Yung pagbubuntis mismo, wala akong like dramatic moment na ‘oh my God buntis ako.’ Hindi ganun. I'm just giggly and happy about it.”
Bianca and Ralph tied the knot in June 2021, some two years after meeting at Iza Calzado's Palawan wedding.
