Lauren Young reminds followers to 'be kinder' to themselves

Lauren Young took to Instagram to remind her followers to be kinder to themselves and “to look in the mirror and see someone who is strong, powerful and beautiful.”

On Thursday, Lauren posted a throwback photo from nine years ago. “I would look in the mirror and be so unsatisfied and unkind to my own self,” she wrote in the caption. The photo showed Lauren looking so skinny.

Lauren also included current photos of herself looking comfortable in her own skin and figure.

“Today, all I see is someone who survived, who powered through bad eating habits, self loathing and beating up my body everyday to fit into the standards that I thought I had to meet,” she continued.

The actress reiterated in her post that “we are all different — different faces and different bodies yet we come together with kindness and love.”

“So don’t forget to show yourself some love and kindness today and to those around you, because no matter how perfect [someone's] life seems, you don’t actually know who needs it,” Lauren concluded.

This isn’t the first time Lauren advocated for self-love and body positivity. Last year, she also opened up about her struggles and insecurities and how she has overcome them. — LA, GMA News
