Bea Alonzo gets booster, reveals testing positive for COVID-19 in January
Bea Alonzo got her booster shot after testing positive for COVID-19 in January.
The Kapuso actress shared the update on Instagram with a photo of herself getting inoculated on Monday.
"The start of this year was challenging. I caught COVID early January (just like most people because of the COVID surge)," she wrote in the caption.
"At that time, I was also struggling with the worst muscle spasm," she continued. "It was a challenging moment. I got most of the symptoms, and I was having a hard time breathing, but I survived!"
Bea chose to share this development to encourage others to also get their boosters when able: "Let's help end this pandemic."
Other celebrities who also shared their bout with COVID-19 include Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, Iya Villania and Drew Arellano, Candy Pangilinan, and Pia Wurtzbach.
