Catriona Gray admits she hasn’t been active on social media due to influx of sad news

Catriona Gray has revealed that she stepped away from social media recently due to the influx of sad news.

On Wednesday, the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder checked in on her followers for a bit.

"I know I haven't been active much on social media lately. It's just that personally, it's become a bit much. Not social media alone, but just the news and the numbers," she wrote.

"It feels like every week, there are condolences being shared on my timeline. Friends losing family. Friends losing friends. Families separated. People feeling isolated and alone fighting battles that seem too great."

Catriona said she wanted to reach out to her followers and let everyone know that they were not alone.

"Your feelings and your experiences are VALID. And no matter how big the challenges may seem, there is always hope to be found. God is greater than this and He is on your side," she said.
