Jasmine Curtis-Smith receives COVID-19 vaccine dose
Jasmine Curtis-Smith has received her vaccine dose against COVID-19!
On Friday, the Kapuso actress shared the update on Instagram with a photo of herself with a bandage on her upper arm.
“Vaccinated,” she wrote. “Before going into mandatory quarantine for our lock-in taping, I was thankfully able to get the COVID vaccine. I have been so eager for this opportunity because I have asthma and also work in an industry that does require us to take off our masks and have face-to-face interactions. This is the extra step that I believe I can take to protect myself.”
She said she understood “those who may have their own anxieties about taking this step but I also understand the pain of losing someone and the struggles that come along with the burdens of dealing with COVID. If we can take the extra step to protect ourselves mentally, physically and financially, why not?”
The actress ended her note by thanking medical frontliners for their “endless and passionate service,” the local government units for making the vaccines accessible, and “the countries that have donated to the Philippines.”
Jasmine is among the many celebrities and showbiz industry workers who have been inoculated against COVID-19.
Some of the Kapuso stars who have received their vaccine doses are Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, Drew Arellano and Iya Villania. – RC, GMA News
