Ken Chan says all 17 members of his family battled COVID-19
Ken Chan revealed that all 17 members of his family tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19.)
In Cata Tibayan's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, the Kapuso actor said those who contracted the virus include his grandmother and a two-year-old child.
The "Ang Dalawang Ikaw" star also detailed some of the symptoms they experienced.
"Our bodies were shaking, the cold feels like it's entering our bones. We were weak and we had muscle pains. We can't stand up, we can't walk,” he said in Filipino.
"We had no appetite, we had no sense of taste and smell, our eyes were super red and teary," he continued. "My temperature reached 39 (degrees)."
Apart from the medicines they took and their faith in God, Ken said what made them survive is the support of people around them.
He also reminded everyone to keep on wearing their face masks and shields.
Ken received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine last week.
