Saab Magalona is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Saab Magalona is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and encouraged others to remain vigilant in following safety protocols.

On Instagram, Monday, she shared a photo of herself with her face mask and shield on and her newly-inoculated arm visible.

"I got my [second] dose of the COVID-19 vaccine!" she wrote in the caption.

Saab then said it's not time to party yet and told everyone to still be mindful of the threat.

"Stay home as much as possible, keep your masks on, wash your hands and disinfect—even if you are fully vaccinated!" she said.

"Being fully vaccinated does not mean being fully immune against the virus," she added.

Citing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Saab said those vaccinated can still get the virus.

"We are now protected against the severe effects of COVID (most likely no symptoms at all) but we can still potentially get infected and risk spreading it to others," she said.

"Protect those who are not yet vaccinated or those who cannot be vaccinated at all."

Saab also encouraged others to keep the healthcare professionals in mind amid the pandemic.

"Only a small portion of our population have been vaccinated so let's not be unmindful," she said in Filipino.

"If not for those who still don't believe in COVID-19, think of the healthcare workers whose workload can be reduced if we stay safe," she added.

Saab received her first dose last May under the A3 category or persons with comorbidities.

Other celebrities who have completed the COVID-19 vaccine series include Alice Dixson, Sharon Cuneta, and AiAi Delas Alas.
