Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera receive COVID-19 vaccine together
After expressing his excitement over getting their vaccine slots, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera received their dose of the COVID-19 vaccine together.
On Saturday, Dingdong shared photos of himself with wife Marian getting inoculated.
In one photo, the couple could be seen in a tight hug as they smiled at the camera and showed off their bandages.
“SINOVAXED!” Dingdong wrote.
The actor said that in their line of work, they often had to go out, and when they had to shoot a scene, they’re required to remove their masks.
“Kaya ngayong Araw ng Kalayaan, gusto naming magpasalamat sa Ingat Angat at sa lahat ng ating frontliners dahil ngayon din nagsimula ang pagbabakuna sa A4 Priority Group na kasama ang media and entertainment industry, delivery service riders, mga self-employed, at ang iba pang mga manggagawa na nakikipagsapalaran sa pagpunta sa kanilang mga trabaho,” he said.
[That is why today, on Independence Day, we want to thank Ingat Angat and all our frontliners because today is the start of vaccination for the A4 priority group which includes the media and entertainment industry, delivery service riders, self-employed, and other laborers who have to go out for work.]
Dingdong added that although he was a bit nervous, “through research and consultation with experts,” he had the courage to get vaccinated.
“This is my way of ensuring not only my health and safety, but also of my loved ones and my community.”
Aside from Dingdong and Marian, other celebrities such as Bianca Gonzales, Maris Racal and Rico Blanco have also received their doses of the vaccine. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
