Mariel Rodriguez reveals how she lost 42 pounds in just 3 months
Mariel Rodriguez is happy about the results of a weight loss journey she started after "officially signing off" from her breastfeeding duties.
In her latest vlog, the mother of two revealed that she lost over 40 pounds in just three months.
“At my heaviest, I was 197 pounds... Almost 200 pounds!" Mariel said.
"And today? [I'm] 155 pounds! so I already lost a total of 42 pounds!”
How did she do it?
Mariel had some help from a slimming center, but she also had to commit to eating right while exercising, so she talked to a nutritionist.
"Majority of it (weight loss) is the food that we take. Ako po, I got a nutritionist talaga. Si Nadine Tengco. She made a list of the things that I can eat, the things I should eat, the things I shouldn't eat,” Mariel said.
Mariel, who is married to actor Robin Padilla, gave birth to their second daughter, Gabriela, in November 2019.
At the start of her vlog, she said she made sure to complete her breastfeeding duties before focusing on losing the “post-baby weight.”
“I took a while because I had to finish breastfeeding Gabriela but, finally when Gabriela was ready, nag-start na akong mag-diet,” Mariel said.
The actress and TV host also shared recipes, diet tips and weight loss advice for her fellow mommies who hope to lose weight.
