GMA reporter Marisol Abdurahman reveals why she's never afraid to cover war stories
GMA reporter Marisol Abdurahman is a bad-ass in her own right.
For one thing, she has no problem being deployed to an active warzone and would actually volunteer to cover stories about war and the military.
During her guesting on Eat Bulaga's "Bawal Judgmental" Wednesday, it was revealed that Marisol was previously a teacher at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in Baguio City.
"Naging teacher ako ng mga cadete, kaya you'll really understand kung bakit ang heart ko ay nasa giyera, mahilig sa mga military stories," the reporter said.
During her interview portion, Marisol shared how she would often volunteer to cover war stories, including the five-month-long armed conflict in Marawi in 2017.
The female reporter did not mind being deployed to a warzone, even if it meant she would be in the thick of the action with bullets flying everywhere.
"Ako, the more na nanganganib ang buhay ko, gustong gusto ko," she said, wowing the studio.
In fact, Marisol wanted to cover Marawi so bad that she never stopped asking the desk if she could go.
"Pag gustong-gusto namin 'yung storya, ako, usually nagvo-volunteer ako.
So nakuha ko din," she added.
So, wala silang nagawa, binigay din." — LA, GMA News
