BARMM schools get dental, medical supplies for dental health month

The Schools Division Office of Cotabato City received dental and medical supplies from the Bangsamoro government as part of the celebration of the national dental health month.

The celebration culminated in a ceremony on Monday, according to the Bangsamoro Information Office.

“If we continue to promote the importance of oral hygiene to our students, we contribute to their growth and development and help them attain a life full of possibilities,” Bangsamoro education minister Mohagher Iqbal was quoted as saying.

Iqbal vowed that the education ministry would implement comprehensive health and nutrition programs for both students and personnel.

He also reminded the Bangsamoro workforce to prioritize their physical, mental, and social well-being and to “inspire the young people to make healthy choices, even at a young age.”

The Philippine Dental Health Month is celebrated every February in a bid to strengthen public awareness on the importance of good oral health. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
