Meryll Soriano says working out while pregnant helped with her mental health


Like many celebrity moms, Meryll Soriano did not stop working out while she was pregnant with her second child.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the actress shared a video of her and partner Joem Bascon working out together when she was seven months pregnant.

Meryll said she worked out four to six times a week, which helped a lot with her mental health.

"Considering I have gestational diabetes at the time, I prioritized staying healthy with proper eating for me and the baby," she wrote.

“And, of course, I had to be strong for my birth delivery. So, I pushed myself with the help of Dud, every single time,” she added.

Now that she has given birth, Meryll said she misses the strength she developed and the bond she created with Joem then.

"I miss working out with Dud at the same time. Now with the baby, we work out at different times. Huhu. We have to take turns on taking care of our son," she said.

Nevertheless, she values every moment she has with their newborn.

"It's okay. I know time flies so fast and the next thing we know, he's already like Eli, and we will be missing the baby phase," she said. 

Meryll introduced her new bundle of joy on New Year's Day, sharing family photos with Joem and firstborn son Elijah.
