Lani Misalucha shares she’s using hearing aid after going partially deaf

Lani Misalucha has revealed that she is now using a hearing aid after suffering from hearing loss due to bacterial meningitis.

In an Instagram live session on Tuesday, Lani shared that she and her husband, Noli, suffered from the life-threatening disease in October.

“I believe some of you already know what happened to me and my husband. Nagkaroon kami ng bacterial meningitis noong October,” the singer said.

“We are okay naman ngayon but the problem is ’yung bacterial meningitis na ’yan iniwanan kami ng souvenir at ang souvenir na ’yun ay hearing loss at vestibular dysfunction,” she said, adding that these caused dizziness even with just the smallest movement.

“Ako ang right ear ko ang bingi. Left ear ko medyo nakakarinig,” shared the singer.

Her husband, however, had been experiencing worse headaches and hearing loss, Lani added.

In the video, the singer showed how she used her hearing aid.

“Maraming-maraming salamat sa inyong lahat na nag-offer ng kanilang prayers and thank you so much for your love and support. I love you guys,” she said.

Lani first revealed she was battling with hearing loss in December. She also shared her worries about losing her ability to sing after fighting the disease. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
