Is this how 'new normal' bus rides will be like?

A local bus company showed what "new normal" bus rides will be, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Facebook, Victory Liner posted photos of the interior of their "new normal" bus with a 1x1x1 configuration — instead of the usual two-seat, one-aisle set up.

To ensure compliance with strict protocols, acrylic shield have been put in place, including the driver's seat. And like most establishments, there is a no mask-no entry policy.

In the caption, Victory Liner said buses with this "new normal" design will be "coming soon."

According to an official of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), commuters in the National Capital Region (NCR) will have more public transportation options as Metro Manila returns to general community quarantine (GCQ) effective Wednesday, August 19.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has already required commuters to wear face shields, aside from face masks, in any mode of public transportation starting on Saturday, August 15.

The GCQ will be in effect from August 19 to 31.
