Cardinal Santos Medical Center patients can now meet doctors at hotel

Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) patients can now meet their doctors at Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Pasig City, to minimize their exposure to the virus.

The new program Safe Care, a collaboration between CSMC and Discovery Hospitality Corporation (DHC), allows patients to book one to two-hour meetings with their doctors in the “safe spaces” of the hotel.

According to DHC’s press release, Safe Care visitors can join the program by coordinating with their CSMC doctors through an e-consult system and securing a confirmation for a meetup.

Once this is completed, visitors will receive pre-visit requirements and payment for the appointment will be settled online “to minimize in-person contact.”

DHC assured that meeting spaces will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each use.

“We are happy to endorse Discovery as an alternative safe space for our customers and doctors,” said Pilar Almira, CSMC chief executive officer.

“Together, we continue to press on and find solutions for our country to overcome the pitfalls of this pandemic,” added Jose Parreno Jr., chief operating officer of DHC and president of Discovery World Corporation.

Discovery Suites is the pilot hotel of the program.

Apart from Discovery Suites, DHC properties include Discovery Primea, Discovery Shores Boracay, and Club Paradise Palawan.
