Kylie Padilla opens up about mom guilt, growing with her family

Kylie Padilla took to Instagram to open up about experiencing mom guilt and growing with her family.

Posting a black and white photo of herself carrying her child the Kapuso star said, "Being a young mom is not easy an thing... but It’s so strange."

Kylie said motherhood has always been a pivotal thing for her.

"I am naturally inclined to give more of myself to my family BUT also at the same time I find a new kind of drive to pursue all of my other dreams," she wrote.

Kylie admitted that she "would have never tried to pursue them if I still had my old mentality, before I had kids."

"It is difficult to juggle and sometimes mom guilt gets the best of me, but I respect the fact that I can’t give my family the best version of me if I can’t give myself the chance to grow in all my other talents and grow as a person," she added.

Kylie said she will be "forever grateful we shared our growth together."

Last July, Kylie admitted that she had a difficult time recovering after giving birth to Baby Axl last December.

Citing researcher and therapist Brené Brown, clinal psychotherapist Nicole Grocki wrote an article on the Mindful Return, saying "the 'feeling of guilt' is a focus on behavior, where shame becomes about feelings of the self.  So, 'I didn’t breastfeed long enough,'  is feeling guilty about a behavior.  And the resulting 'I am a bad mom,' becomes the feeling of shame about oneself."
