Healthway Medical Greenbelt 5 turned into chemotherapy center
Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. (AC Health) on Thursday said it has repurposed Healthway Medical Greenbelt 5 into a cancer-specific unit to accommodate oncology patients.
In a statement, AC Health said it was granted permission to run the Healthway Branch as a chemotherapy infusion center starting April 17, 2020, allowing the company to serve cancer patients seeking an alternative place of care.
"The COVID-19 crisis has made it very difficult for both patients and oncologists alike to navigate their way around seeking cancer treatment under ideal conditions," said AC Health president and chief executive officer Paolo Borromeo.
"At Healthway, we are committed to serve those whose care plan may have been disrupted and to ensure that quality cancer care is made accessible," he added.
AC Health said the clinic will continue to offer obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, and other services while serving as a chemotherapy infusion center.
The company encouraged patients to schedule their clinic appointments ahead of time, to ensure medications are available and chemotherapy orders are reviewed, with the referring oncologist remaining as the patient's primary doctor throughout the treatment process.
The clinic will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays, and can accommodate up to 15 patients per day. It may be reached at (+632)
