Pregnant Iya Villania shares home workout keeping her healthy amid quarantine
Iya Villania, pregnant with her third baby, is making sure to keep fit amid the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.
The Kapuso host shared an Instagram video of her current workout routine, complete with instructions in the caption.
"Definitely a routine I gotta keep even while on ECQ. So good to see so many others getting fit during this time too! keep it up, guys! This was my Easter workout in prep for my Easter intake for the Easter bunny in my belly,” she wrote.
Iya's workout goes like this:
- 20min AMRAP - As many rounds as possible or aim for 5 rounds
- 250m Row
- 10 Alt DB Forward Lunges
- 10 DB Clean and Jerks
- 10 Wall Ball Shots
The celebrity host also detailed in the caption that she’s gained a few more kilos in her current pregnancy compared to when she was carrying her sons Primo and Leon.
Iya, however, clarified that she wasn’t working out to lose weight.
"I've gained about 4kgs so far and got more kilos to add as I go along. So no, I'm not working out to try and keep the weight off coz no matter what I do I WILL GAIN! I'm pregnant yo! That's what will be healthiest for both baby and I,” Iya said.
"What I'm trying to do is avoid excessive weight gain that could possibly lead to complications such as preeclampsia or gestational diabetes. So this mama will keep moving as long as I can for as long as my body permits,” she added.
Iya and husband Drew Arellano announced that they were expecting Baby No. 3 in January.
Luzon was placed under enhanced community quarantine last month following a rise in the number of cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country.
