Andi Eigenmann on living in Siargao amid COVID-19: 'it isn’t the same here as it is in Manila but it doesn’t mean we should be complacent"

Andi Eigenmann is thankful to live in an island paradise like Siargao with her family.

In her latest Instagram post, the actress shared a photo of herself holding her youngest Baby Lilo as they enjoyed the sunset in the water.

But, as the country is under a State of Calamity over the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Andi wrote a meaningful caption about how health was her family’s “most valuable investment.”

“(Especially) in this time, we are glad to keep living our healthy lifestyle, and most of all, share this and inspire others to do the same!” she said.

Andi hopes for the safety of her fellow islanders, including those staying longer than planned.

“I really hope that others, especially those who only got locked in here by choice, please be mindful enough and do the same.”

She also reminded the public that they cannot take precautionary measures against COVID-19 lightly, wherever they may be in the country, but especially in Siargao, where there is still "no proper medical system" in place.

?“We are prepared for the worst, and being extra careful because of the people around us, (we have many elderly loved ones and neighbors and parents with young children who need them as well) and the fact that we still have no proper medical system out here on the island.”

“You see, it isn’t the same here on the island as it is in Manila and other places. BUT it doesn’t mean we should be complacent. We have been taking precautionary measures and making sure the others around us know just what to do as well,” Andi said.
