How does Myrtle Sarrosa keep her hair healthy even after rounds of bleaching and coloring?
Myrtle Sarrosa is known for her love for anime and cosplaying.
Just last year, the actress' hair went through a lot of chemical treatments and multiple color changes.
"Last year it was pink, tapos naging brown for a movie, tapos naging pink again for a movie, tapos pink and purple, tapos naging brown," she said during her media conference in Woorijin, Quezon City on Friday.
Despite this, her hair remains healthy and happy. How does she do it?
Natural oil is the way to go
She shared, "Before ka magde-decide getting into hair color, ibabad mo siya sa argan oil for mga three to four days before ka magpa-bleach so matutulog ka na may argan oil sa buhok mo para lang i-absorb niya 'yung oil sa hair mo."
Myrtle said that this will help avoid hair damage and allow the moisture to remain in the hair even after layers of it will be removed after the bleaching treatment.
Use conditioner everyday
Aside from argan oil, Myrtle shared that using conditioner everyday does help maintain her hair's natural shine.
"After bleaching 'yung hair or having your hair colored dapat lagi ka every day may conditioner," Myrtle advised.
You can shampoo every other day, but the usage of conditioner should be on a daily basis.
Consult your hairstylist
Aside from getting a brazilian blowout every two weeks to avoid frizziness and dryness, Myrtle also said that it's best to consult your hair stylist on the proper treatment for your hair.
"The very first time na blineach nila 'yung hair color ko sinasabihan na talaga ko ng hairstylist ko na 'yung hair talaga kailangan alagan for it to be healthy, for it to always have that natural shine," she said.
"Kaya kailangan meron kang regular hairstylist who will look into the conditions ng hair mo," she added.
Myrtle just recently joined the Kapuso family and made the move official by signing an exclusive contract with GMA Network on Friday.
