Is it normal to get your period twice in a month?

Is it normal for a woman to have a menstrual flow two times in a single month?

In an episode on Pinoy MD, obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Raul Quillamor said that menstrual flow is normal as long as the inteval is not shorter than 21 days and not longer than 35 days.

"So kapag tinignan natin sa kalendaryo 'yan, puwedeng reglahin ng 1st week of the month and last week of the month pero normal pa rin 'yun," he said.

The interval between two cycles usually average 28 days.

—Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/JST, GMA News
