8 clinics in the PHL that offer free psychiatric consultation

In an interview with GMA News "News To Go," program director of The One Algon Place Foundation Cel Gonzales said that mental health issues, especially among the young, has become more prevalent these days.

"Mas laganap siya ngayon, mas marami siya ngayon," Gonzales said.

Compounding the problem is the fact that there are only about 700 licensed mental health workers, leading to a ratio of about two specialists for every 100,000 individuals.

"Sa kabuuan kulang," Gonzales said. "Hindi kakayain kaya importante na magkaroon ng programa hanggang sa level ng komunidad para sa mental health issues."

Thankfully, there are several communities — within schools, for instance — that are taking on the issue and providing free consultations to people who may need them.

Check them out below. The numbers and addresses are laid out for everybody's convenience.
