FIND OUT

This is how Jackie Lou Blanco remains a #fitspiration at 53

A year ago,i wouldn't have dared wear something like this.My arms were puffy and i needed to lose at least 20 lbs.Was working out then but not very consistently. My food intake was alright but got so frustrated because not much was happening. When i met @pauquiza ,everything changed. Her workouts challenged me and i trained everyday. As for what i ate,She suggested i lessened my sugar and dairy intake. Our bodies change as we age and we need to make adjustments. That made such a huge difference.Little by little,I shed off the weight and got leaner and stronger.Age is trully just a number. We just need to be consistent with our workouts and eating healthy should be a habit.Thank you so much Pau for taking care of me.I have never been happier with how my body is now.You are such a gift to me and all of us you take care of.So much love and respect for you????????????

"Alyas Robin Hood" actress Jackie Lou Blanco is finding out that age is truly just a number and she's generously sharing the secret to staying fit.

Jackie Lou shared a photo of herself on Instagram wearing an off shoulder little black dress, which bared her toned arm and back.

"A year ago, I wouldn't have dared wear something like this. My arms were puffy and I needed to lose at least 20 lbs. Was working out then but not very consistently," she wrote in the caption.

With the help of her trainer, Paulyn Quiza, the actress was able to commit to a workout routine. Jackie Lou also made changes to her diet.

"[Quiza] suggested I lessened my sugar and dairy intake," the actress said. "Our bodies change as we age and we need to make adjustments. That made such a huge difference. Little by little, I shed off the weight and got leaner and stronger."

For Jackie, there are no tricks and shortcuts — just consistent workout and making eating healthy a habit.

In a separate Instagram post, Quiza confirmed that the actress put the effort in shedding the pounds and getting stronger the right way.

"A year ago she wanted to work on her arms and confidently wear sleeveless - look at her now," the trainer wrote.

Quiza shared in an interview with Karen A.P. Caliwara of PEP.ph that they didn't set a timeline and instead focused on a goal.

The workout she recommends varies from client to client, but there is a good rule of thumb to follow: Make a change in your lifestyle (not just diet) and start in the kitchen!

"I always say 80% food, 20% workout. No matter how hard you train, if you don't start in the kitchen, your body won't change," she told Caliwara. — LA, GMA News
