Toyo Eatery is Philippines' best restaurant anew as it ranks 42nd on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025

Toyo Eatery is once again the Philippines' best restaurant as it ranked 42nd on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list, which was revealed Tuesday in the awarding ceremony in Seoul, South Korea.
The restaurant also bagged the prestigious Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award, which was earlier announced in February. The award recognizes a restaurant's excellence in service and dining experiences.
Toyo Eatery slipped down to No. 42 this 2025 from its 24th spot in 2024. The establishment also clinched 42nd in 2023.
It is the only Philippine restaurant on this year's list.
"At Toyo Eatery, each guest is immersed in Filipino food culture, whether you are there to enjoy a tasting menu of reimagined cuisine, or the kamayan sharing plates eaten by hand off banana leaves," said The World's 50 Best on Instagram.
"Genuine hospitality is also evident in the personal touches from Jordy and May [Navarra], in the seamless integration of interiors, floral and vegetable displays and wall art and, of course, in the way the team educates diners about its food."
Gaggan in Bangkok took the No. 1 spot on the list, followed by The Chairman in Hong Kong, Wing in Hong Kong, Sezanne in Tokyo, and Mingles in Seoul.
Toyo Eatery, located in Makati, is run by husband-and-wife team Jordy and May Navarra. It debuted on the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2019 at No. 43 and returned on the list in 2023.
Congratulations, Toyo!
