A new food hall just opened in Cubao, and it offers a perfect blend of European and Asian cuisine in one go.
Created by Singaporean food and beverage guru Andrew Tan Hock Lai, World Kitchens is a luxury food hall that houses 700 seats and 15 show kitchens planned. It boasts of over 250 unique dishes from the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, India, Spain, and Italy.
Each show kitchen is managed by internationally renowned chefs, including Chef Jessie Sincioco from the Philippines and Chef Steve Ma from Hong Kong.
Here is a sneak peek of the kitchens, their chefs, and their offerings.
According to Tan, the concept started just last year with the help of Filipino businessman and Araneta Group CEO, Chairman, and President Jorge Araneta.
“I've been in the food business for the last 40 over years. So, I created about 65 concepts worldwide. When I had this idea of this concept, World Kitchens, it was just an opportunity. Mr. [Jorge] Araneta called me up and said, we want you to come here and look at the space, see whether I can create a concept. So, this in Araneta City has always been the first. So, I said, okay, I will come and create one of a kind, first of its kind,” he said.
Of the 15 show kitchens, only eight are currently operational. According to Araneta City, the remaining seven will open "soon."
World Kitchens has fully integrated AI into the experience, with each table featuring a QR code that will enable diners to browse menus, place orders, and pay for them.
Prices vary depending on the kitchen you choose to dine in but Araneta City ensures they remain affordable.
World Kitchens is open daily at Level 4 of Gateway Mall 2. Monday to Thursday, 11:30am-3:00pm and 5:30pm-10:00pm; Friday to Sunday, 10:30am to 11:00pm.
