Onlypans Taqueria announces closure of Katipunan branch

Onlypans Taqueria is closing the doors of its Katipunan branch at The Pop-Up complex.

On Facebook, the taco joint announced that the Quezon City branch, which opened in 2022, will be closing down beginning this year.

“As we welcome the new year, we’re saying goodbye to our Katipunan branch. It’s not a decision we made lightly, but one that we felt was necessary for us to grow and move forward as a brand,” Onlypans wrote.

“To every single one of you who came to visit, stayed for a taco (or ten), brought your friends, or simply supported us from afar, thank you. You made Katipunan special."

The establishment added that it won't be leaving Quezon City, promising, "Kitakits ulit tayo sa ibang dimensyon ng norte."

In October 2024, Onlypans Taqueria’s original branch in Poblacion reopened six months after halting operations due to an accidental fire.

Onlypans Taqueria is a pandemic-born business founded by Audrey Cruz. What started as an online sushi bake business eventually became an aesthetically pleasing physical joint serving birrias and tacos in Poblacion.
