Sinigang is among TasteAtlas' 100 Best Dishes in the World

Sinigang is on TasteAtlas’ list of 100 Best Dishes in the World for 2024 anew, ranking 41st and receiving 4.5 out of 5 rating. It's a big improvement from last year, when the well-loved sour dish ranked 97th in the list. 

According to TasteAtlas, the well-loved sour Filipino dish perfectly matches "the harsh tropical heat of the country." The website also described sinigang as "a unique soup that is a true representative of Filipino cuisine."

The publication also named Romulo Cafe, The Aristocrat, Manam and Max’s among others, as restaurants that serve the best sinigang.

The 100 Best Dishes in the World 2024 list was topped by Colombia’s Lechona garnering 4.78 stars, followed by Italy’s Pizza Napoletana, which received a 4.75 rating. 

Siningang was previously named one of the Best Filipino foods and among the world’s best soups. 

Taste Atlas is an international online publication that explores the world through local food. Dishes included on the list received the highest ratings based on more than 367, 947 user ratings.
