Bulalo, Sinigang na Baboy, in the Top 20 of TasteAtlas' list of 100 best meat soups in the world
Bulalo and Sinigang na Baboy each managed to get a slot in the Top 20 of TasteAtlas' 100 best meat soups in the world.
Snagging the 17th spot, Bulalo is described by the food platform as "a traditional Filipino soup that is prepared by cooking beef shanks and marrow bones until the fat and collagen dissolve into the broth, resulting in a robust flavor."
Meanwhile, Sinigang na Baboy is at the 18th spot with a grade of 4.4 stars.
Indonesia's Rawon topped the list, while another Indonesian soup, the Soto Betawi, took the 2nd spot. Türkiye's breakfast staple, the Beyran corbasi, is in 3rd place.
Rounding up the Top 5 are Japan's Tonkotsu Ramen (4th) and Miso Ramen (5th).
Earlier, Palabok topped TasteAtlas' list of best Filipino noodle dishes, while Chicken Inasal topped the list of best Filipino food.
As its name suggests, TasteAtlas is an international publication which regularly explores the world through local food.
