This artisan baker in Cebu makes art out of bread

Making art out of bread? This artisan baker in Cebu has made it possible!

According to EJ Gomez's report in "24 Oras Weekend" on Sunday, Cebuano artist Marlo Pimentel Lidot started making pandesal and other breads in 2010 with P2,000 as capital.

"Proudly made po talaga purely Cebuano po as a Pilipino po talaga na handcrafted po. Hindi lang basta-basta na tinapay," he said.

Ligot has made different bread art such as various religious figures, movie scenes, as well as our double Olympic gold champion Carlos Yulo and the most trusted faces of GMA Network such as Mel Tiangco, Vicky Morales, Kara David, Mike Enriquez, and Jessica Soho.

If you are looking for a perfect gift for this holiday season, you can have your bread customized by him for P1,200 to P1,500 with a variety of flavors to choose from: ube, cheese, chocolate, coffee and malunggay.

"Puwede po natin isi-serve or puwede po natin as a gift po during birthdays or any occasions, Father's Day, Mother's Day," he said.

According to Ligot, he still dreams for his business to grow and to have a bigger baking space so more people can taste his bread art.
