Fast food chain offers new all-veggie burger in the Philippines
There's a new kid on the burger block — and it's meatless!
Shake Shack Philippines just launched an all-veggie menu item, the Veggie Shack.
The veggie burger patty comprises garden-variety vegetables like sweet potatoes, beets, garlic, mushrooms, carrots, celery, onions, and leeks, as well as miso, quinoa, and farro. Laid between a toasted bun, the burger is topped with crispy onions, pickles, American cheese, and the chain's signature ShackSauce.
The Veggie Shack is a welcomed addition to the fast food chain's burger menu, which previously only featured the 'Shroom Burger as a "vegetarian" option.
As with the 'Shroom Burger, the Veggie Shack burger contains eggs and milk, making it suitable for lacto-ovo-vegetarians, as well as curious foodies who want to try a meatless burger.
The Veggie Shack is priced at P400, and customers may add an additional veggie patty for P255 apiece.
The Veggie Shack burger is now available for dine-in or takeaway in Shake Shack's branches nationwide, as well as online.
In May this year, Shake Shack Philippines turned five years old and celebrated its anniversary with a limited-time menu featuring a sisig-inspired burger and fries.
Last year, Shake Shack also collaborated with Toyo Eatery, hailed as one of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, for a limited-edition menu spotlighting a chicken and cheek barbecue burger, inasal fries, lambanong lemonade, and a kakanin dessert.
